January 21, 1939, Saturday

This has been a particularly pleasant day. Went to the movies with Ev and Ginny and later walked up to Karin's. We had supper there and then went to the Teachers College Basketball game against Farmington, Maine J. C. We went into the lounge and then met two of Karin's friends. We sat with them at the game - nice boys - K. and I certainly got the eye from the boys there, I guess we did look rather nice too - conceited huh? After the game which our J.C. won we went to the Drug store, had cigarettes and soda - Home to Karin's house as I was staying over night. We washed and got Karin's pajamas and robes on then went downstairs- put on the radio, cuddled up on the sofa, smoked and drank wine- Perfect orchestra and it was so cozy and nice - Then we had tea and toasted sandwiches about 1:30, Ivar joined us. Then up to bed and was it good to get into bed and go to sleep. Oh yes! I saw Dave, he was in the game- I don't know ---
